JIN SHIN JYUTSU ACUPRESSURE

THE MEANING from Japanese

Jin: Person of Awareness and Compassion; Shin: Breath of Creation

Jyutsu: Art of Creation through the practice of Awareness and Compassion

Sharing roots with Traditional Asian Medicine, the contemporary art of JSJ was rediscovered and developed by Jiro Murai of Japan, in the early 1900s. Similar to acupuncture in philosophy, JSJ is an ancient art balancing the body’s energy system that utilizes gentle and precise touch, rather than needles.

My professors said they’d never seen a grad student so calm and happy during the final writing phase of their dissertation! It was all thanks to my weekly Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions!
— Laura Lopez Hoffman, Stanford PhD

People have described their JIN SHIN JYUTSU session as “like receiving a massage from the inside” and “effortless meditation”.

In Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment we hold specific locations on the body to harmonize the vital energy of the whole person. Our aim is to restore proper energy circulation throughout the body, thereby decreasing physical and mental symptoms and the cause of disease, while sparking the body’s regenerative powers.

By listening to the patient’s energetic Pulse (at the wrist) the JSJ practitioner differentiates the state of harmony of 72 foundational flows of energy and the nature of their relationships. This information leads us to energetic cause underlying the patient’s health challenges and to the hands-on sequences that can spark restoration of harmonious energy flow.

After your Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment (typically 50-60 minutes) we may introduce you to simple JSJ techniques that you can use at home, empowering you to release tensions and to revitalize and harmonize body, mind and spirit on your own.

Helping others to heal themselves brings me joy.

Uzi Broshi Hummingbird Integrative Health Doctor of Naprapathy Jin Shin Jyutsu

Mary Burmeister, who brought Jin Shin Jyutsu to the West, said, “Age is as Circulation is”. After decades of physical labor I found, in my late ‘40s, new flexibility (balance between energetic and muscular aspects of being) through yoga.

Regular exercise (yoga, cycling, running and hiking), in tandem with daily Jin Shin Jyutsu self-care, eradicated a health issue for which I’d been told I’d always need medication.

Naprapathy

Naprapathy has taught me about the amazing design of our body’s anatomy and biomechanics and hands-on techniques that speak directly to the body’s ability to correct, rehabilitate and regenerate.

My aspiration is to serve each client’s fulfillment of their potential by improving the quality of their life.
